About Taylor

Taylor Allen is the Appraisal Department Manager for JVM’s renowned Appraisal Management team. As a graduate of JVM’s extraordinarily rigorous training program, Taylor understands every aspect of mortgage financing and employs that knowledge to streamline the appraisal process for JVM’s clients and Agent Partners. Taylor graduated from Reed College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. Throughout her studies, Taylor maintained a full course load while also playing for the College’s Division II Soccer Team and singing in the chorus.

After college and prior to joining JVM, Taylor relocated to Japan for the adventure of a lifetime. She taught English to Japanese students of all ages as an ESL teacher and scripted and produced several English language TV shows for local networks as an International Relations Coordinator. Taylor’s ability to quickly understand complex systems also led to a position as a Technical Translator for Honda, where she translated documents from Honda’s quality control department and bridged the communication gap between their US and Japan-based operations.

Taylor grew up in Brentwood, California, but has since had the opportunity to live in Portland, Oregon for college and in Akita, Kochi, and Tochigi, Japan for her adventure. Now excited to be back in the US, Taylor enjoys playing soccer, jamming on the saxophone, riding her bike, and relaxing with a book in her spare time.
